RingJini on Airtel

Verified Forwarding to RingJini has been checked on real Airtel phones: calls that aren't answered, that find you busy, and that find your phone off all reach RingJini.

What the app dials

Airtel uses the standard forwarding codes. There are three, one per case, and each carries RingJini's number: when you don't answer (**61*…), when you're busy ( **67*…), and when your phone is off or out of range (**62*…). The app fills in the number in the form Airtel accepts and opens your dialler for each.

Switching off is ##61#, ##67# and ##62#; the app's Undo setup shows them too.

If a code is refused

Airtel expects the number in its national form, which the app already uses. If you see “invalid MMI code” or a similar message, dial exactly what the app shows, from the SIM you are protecting. If it still fails, write to support with the message you saw.

Charges

Airtel may treat a forwarded call like a call you make, depending on your plan. Contacts and recent callers are never forwarded.
