The deal, in plain words
These terms cover RingJini while it is in beta. They will be replaced before launch, and the app will ask you to agree to the new ones.
What RingJini is
RingJini is an AI call agent. With your consent, your mobile network forwards calls from unknown numbers to RingJini, which answers them, follows the rules you give it, and either connects the caller to you or handles the call itself. It is provided by RingJini (“we”).
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older, in India, and the holder of the mobile number you set up. You may set RingJini up only on a number that is yours to control.
The beta
During the beta RingJini is free. It is not finished: it will sometimes get a call wrong, and features will change, appear and disappear. We may pause or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time. We'll tell you before anything starts to cost money.
What you're responsible for
- Forwarding. Setup switches on call forwarding on your line, and undoing setup switches it off. Your network may charge forwarded calls under your plan. If you uninstall the app without undoing setup, forwarding stays on; undo it in the app first, or with your network's codes.
- Your rules. RingJini does what your rules say. Keep them current.
- Lawful use. Don't use RingJini to harass, deceive, or record anyone unlawfully, or to interfere with any network or service.
What we don't promise
RingJini is built to fail open: if it breaks, your calls ring as normal. But we can't promise it will never miss a call that mattered, never put through one that didn't, or that your network will forward every call. Calls to emergency services, and calls from 1600 and 140 numbers, are never handled by RingJini. To the extent the law allows, RingJini is provided as is, and our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the beta is nothing.
Your data
The privacy notice says what we keep and why. You can delete it, and your account, at any time.
Ending it
You can stop any time: undo setup and delete your account in the app. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or harms the service.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of the city where RingJini is registered.
